This sweet quiet book page combines imaginative play with learning letter sounds and blending words!  Children can pretend to pour milk with the removable milk carton or fill the glass with water or orange juice. 

Then they can put donuts on the plate to blend CVC words (if you're not a teacher, that means consonant-vowel-consonant words and they are beginning words to sound out and read!) Use multiple donuts and move them all around to get lots of practice making words and sounding them out. 

Really young children can still enjoy putting donuts on plates and they can start learning the letters when they are ready!  Store all of the pieces in the pocket when not in use.
