I am not a seamstress by any means and typically run away from a sewing project, but this turned out to be really rewarding! I'm so excited to have a fully handcrafted Advent calendar that is colorful and fun for my child to enjoy all December long, and I didnt have to make it all by myself! The ornaments are so cute, and I appreciate the efforts of every member of the swap. It was quite an undertaking to make a batch of ornaments and the background by myself, but I'm thankful I did. It was somewhat of a time commitment getting all of the materials, cutting, and sewing, but it went smoother than I imagined. The organization Kailan provided helped keep the project going with the detailed instructions, suggested timeline, reminders to keep tasks on track, and availability to answer questions throughout the entire process. I was able to practice and learn new skills in the process of making my batch of ornaments and the background. While instructions for the background were provided, there were also a lot of ideas shared for ways to make the background unique to our own style. It was a fun chance to be creative. I'd been wanting to be part if this swap for a few years and I'm glad I finally did it this year so our family has a beautiful way to countdown to Christmas. It'll be fun to experience my child's excitement of putting on an ornament each day and to see their reactions to the various ornaments. I'm so excited we'll get to put it up every year!

My new advent calendar is amazing! Everyone did a fabulous job on their ornaments. This is going to be an amazing keepsake for my kids to have for generations!

I have done many swaps with Kailan over the years. As always, this swap was organized, instructions were clear and Kailan answered questions quickly and clearly. We were able to choose the ornament that we wanted to make with options for sewing or not sewing. All of the ornaments that I received from the swap were darling and well made. I know that this Advent count-down tree will last for a long time. I have had such fun with various swaps that I invited my sister to join in this one with me. She had a great time. The little boy that she is routinely babysitting is a little young to understand this year, but I am sure will love next year. Great job Kailan!

I really enjoy all of the swaps I've joined, I get so much product with minimal effort. But this ornament exchange has been the one the kids have loved the most so far! I can't wait to start putting all the ornaments on the tree!

Loved working on this calendar. Was able to make two. Kailan always has such nice projects to participate in.
